What’s different about Vrogum compared to other timber joinery manufacturers?

Vrogum select softwood from sustainable forests in the far north of Scandinavia.
The further north the better as the climate reduces the trees annual growing period, making the annular rings closer together, creating a harder more durable timber.
Victoria Oak ™ hardwood can also be specified, again from sustainable reforestation programs in Australia.

After seasoning the timber is machined in a climatically controlled paperless factory in Denmark. The climate is controlled to ensure that no additional moisture can enter the timber and affect its stability. The computer controlled paperless factory provides the ability to produce bespoke low volume products to customer’s requirements.
This is in sharp contrast to most major UK manufacturers who cannot cope with firstly, Imperial sized windows in pre 1980 houses and secondly their fixed tooling that makes short run specials extremely expensive.

The timber can now be treated with a highly durable micro-porous 3 Coat System, which comes with a 5 year guarantee. In areas that are not susceptible to sea salt in coastal regions or heavy pollutants near refineries and chemical plants, the system has been proven to last 8-15 years before a single recoat was necessary.

The Door or Window is fully glazed, assembled and delivered to site within 6-8 weeks of order completely finished and ready for installation.

The quality of the timber, the manufacturing process, the coating system, plus the fact that the product is finished before delivery all go to making this timber product a very credible and cost- effective alternative to other competitive products, especially uPVC.

Vrogum has specialised in manufacturing windows suited for each individual home and/or building project - size, colour, design and fittings can be delivered as required. Because Vrogum-products can be delivered in any dimension and colour and because they are designed to agree with the architectural style of individual homes, they give the finishing touch to any house or building; modern or classic, private homes or restoration projects. Vrogum offers any number of combinations: round, oval, square, slanting - in short, we are able to produce items in any size and design. All of course manufactured from high-quality wood.

A window combining the modern and traditional, having outward opening sashes, slim profiles and options of modern or traditional mouldings.

The construction is based on Scandinavian craftsman traditions. Slim profiles and the option of custom design make the Rosenholm-window perfect for renovation of old houses or for new buildings where beautiful architectural traditions should be maintained.

The system also makes the fitting of modern hardware possible, leaving options for all modern possibilities. It is a stylistically consistent system with large glass panes underlining tastefulness and giving an interesting play of light.

Practically all dimensions are possible - limited only by your imagination....

SOLBORG (VS)

A traditional British sliding sash window system. The Vrogum sash window is a completely new design and patent pending construction which makes the window better insulated than ever before.

A system with inward opening sashes and extremely slim profiles. The system offers you the perfect window for renovation projects maintaining the original architecture without entering into a compromise with the modern requirements for insulation, hardware, noise insulation etc.

The Lyngstrand-system was developed by Vrogum more than 20 years ago in close cooperation with a group of architects from Berlin. From this the original name ”Berliner-Fenster” (Berlin Windows).

KLOSTERHEDE (DN)

dn-forside.gifA system with inward opening sashes and modern, robust profiles. A system offering many different applications. The construction is strong and solid and the Klosterhede system is hard-wearing and demands only a small amount of maintenance. The Klosterhede system is excellent for e.g. institutions, schools and other buildings where the items are used frequently.

Klosterhede offers you modern architecture and constructions with very large glass panes, but at the same time it of course lives up to all modern requirements for insulation, security, hardware, noise insulation etc.
